I’m Dr. Denitsa Dzhodzheva, DVM, a veterinarian with a professional focus on anaesthesia, pain management, emergency medicine, and critical care.

My clinical work involves the management of complex and critically ill patients, with a particular interest in acute and chronic pain, perioperative analgesia, regional anaesthesia, and the care of neurological, orthopaedic and traumatic patients. I have completed an ESAVS Certificate Programme in Anaesthesia, Pain Management, Emergency and Critical Care and continue to develop my expertise through international education and professional networks, including the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management (IVAPM) and AVA (Association of Veterinary Anesthesiology).

Throughout my clinical practice, I have developed a strong interest in understanding pain not simply as a symptom, but as an important clinical problem that deserves systematic assessment and treatment. I am particularly interested in practical, evidence-based approaches that can improve patient comfort, safety and outcomes.

Painfreevet was created from this professional interest and the belief that good pain management and high-quality supportive care should be an integral part of modern veterinary medicine — not an afterthought.
